Catalyzed synthesis of carbon nanotubes

摘要

Using the electric arc technique catalyzed fullerites are synthesized with Co, Ni and Y as catalyst particles. These fullerites are purified by an oxidation process with the aim of eliminating other kinds of fullerenes as C60, C70, C84 and so on and to eliminate the catalyst particles as well. The purified samples are characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
