Optimisation Formulae for Multi-Station Assembly Systems

摘要

Equations are presented for estimating the cycle time of optimally balanced multistation assembly systems. Using these equations, general results are obtained for system efficiency, the deployment of operators in manual assembly systems and the capital cost of robotic assembly systems.
