摘要

A probabilistic analysis in micromechanics was developed previously to predict the probability distribution for the mechanical properties of unidirectional fiber-reinforced composites. The analysis has provided a nontraditional approach to eliminate the unnecessary material fabrications for those to-be-fabricated composites that do not meet the application requirements based on the analysis and to significantly reduce the time and cost of material development.
