Concentration merely on the problems of fuel acquisition, its production from various forms of energy and subsequent consumption seems rather inappropriate these days. Energy consumption may also be of significant importance in the development of not only specific energy technologies, but also in the framework of treatment of produced waste, associated with production of electricity. In the paper presented have been major assumptions of a simplified overall thermal and ecological model of evaluation of power engineering technologies based on the principle of so called process critical points. Such model accounts for all important, from the point of view of construction, operation and commissioning, energy technology subsystems.
