Nanoparticles are of increasing interest to improve material properties. The most important impact factor augmenting the material is related to the degree of dispersion of the nanoparticles. A widely used method for characterisation is TEM, however only a small sample volume is accessible for evaluation, which in some cases hardly allows the determination of the "true" degree of dispersion.
