Seabed breakout forces

摘要

In lifting structures from the seafloor there are additional loads above the submerged self-weight of the structure due to suction and other effects. An attempt has been made to quantify these forces in terms of applied bearing stress, time on bottom and lifting rate for a structure 5m square.
