Recognition of on-line handwritten digits by neural networks using circular and beta approaches

摘要

This paper proposes a neural network approach to recognize handwritten digits. To reduce the complexity of the handwritten recognition system, circular and Beta approaches are used as features. The results given and discussed at the end of this paper show the increase in performance when using the Beta-circular approach compared to standard ones.
