Distribution of air gases is in a process of permanent development towards effectiveness. The traditional model consists of large bulk distribution to vaporizing stations at large consumers, packaged gas small vessel transport to middle size ones and high pressure cylinder packs and individual bottles to the smallest consumers. To replace existing very well customized and verified models by a new quality system, distribution of the smallest amounts of liquid has to be brought to a highly efficient level. Solution was found in a more sophisticated model of the small liquid delivery units and on site filling of small stationary liquid containers. Several features of a mobile unit designed for smallest deliveries of liquid nitrogen, argon or LNG make it prospective of covering more and more of the segment of small gas consumers. Key feature of this unit is a variable-speed pump integrated with flow metering and control system. High performance and continuous cold state allow significant reduction of time needed for filling liquid cylinders at customer site, as well as elimination of losses. Factors influencing customer decision on investment in such a unit - selecting the size of the truck, vessel size and pump are discussed in the paper. Effectiveness of this system has been proved by several year reliable operation.
