摘要

This paper describes the measurement of the atmospheric boundary layer for siting the wind farms. The measurements were carried out at the sea coast at Konbumori cape in Hokkaido Island. The vertical wind speed distributions up to 1000 meters high were measured by means of the Doppler SODAR system. The measured wind speed distributions indicate the effects of the geometrical shape and the roughness of the ground depending on the wind direction. Measured wind profile did not agree with power law plots at higher layer. The Weibull distribution also depends on the wind direction and height.
