EPA has proposed to revised the National Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for particulate matter (PM) and to amend oil spill prevention requirements. There has been much activity in addressing bioterrorism/biosecurity issue as well phytosanitary issues.These actions are reviewed. Activities by regulatory agencies and new regulations continue to increase. Some of the more significant actions on environmental, bioterroism/biosecurity, and other areas in 2005 are addressed in this paper.
