The paper deals with the problem of accelerated developing and modifying products on the base of intelligent integration of design and processing activities. In context of the method of morphological synthesis, the procedures of knowledge capture, equivalent transformation and reuse are briefly considered. They also include the representation of technological concepts by means of graphical indexation. The main goal was to develop mathematical model for concurrent design and process planning. In order to evaluate quality of decisions made at the phase of conceptual modeling, some criteria of structural optimization are proposed. The paper is illustrated with examples from solid design of parts.
