Because of the ever-increasing needs of modern society, scientists are focusing their attention on the synthesis of specialty materials. Polymers traditionally used for their mechanical abilities are now developed as specialty materials for specific applications. Among the various polymers, polyurethanes(PUs) are predominantly used in coatings for their excellent chemical, water, solvent, and abrasion resistance as well as outstanding hardness and toughness. In the past decades UV curable PU coatings have received considerable attention due to their merits in environmental protection and lower energy consumption. In this work, we introduced pentaerythritol triarylate (PETA) into the siliconized polyurethane acrylate and obtained UV curable membranes. The objective of this paper is to study the cross-link structure of the coating and its properties. [1-5]
