摘要

Poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) is a commercially important polymer which finds applications in textile and reinforcement fibers, biaxially-oriented films, and food and beverage packaging. Opportunities for extending the range of PET applications include enhancing its gas barrier properties, as well as maintaining its mechanical properties at elevated temperatures. Introduction of rigid moieties and crosslinking are potential methods proposed to improve the above-mentioned properties.
