Olefin addition polymerization using nickel,palladium,and iron versipol~(TM) catalysts

In 1995,Brookhart et al.reported the first examples of a new class of late transition metal catalysts capable of polymerizing olefins to high molecular weight polymers.In collaboration with UNC,DuPont has developed these catalysts under the name Versipol~(TM).A common feature of all of these catalysts is that they have one of more N-aryl groups with ortho substituents on the aryl ring.
