Herein work is reported on a single-stage self-metallization synthesis of hexafluoroisopropylidene-based polyimide films."Singlestage"refers to metallized films which are developed from a homogeneous solution that contains both the native metal precursor as a positive valent metal coordination compound and a poly(amic acid)precursor of the ultimate polyimide matrix.
