This paper presents a comprehensive work to optimise the solenoid actuator used for different parts of the automotive application [Ref. 1-3]. This study concerns with determination of a unique solenoid actuator, which would be used in different system with different conditions. The analytical work was carried out with the application of FEM using ANSYS 5.7 Programme. Different models were built-up by varying the coil turn and the current and varying the gap between the armature and the back iron. Five different gaps were studied depend on the application of each solenoid. The ampere turn were varied between 32 to 1920 for each applied gap. The resulted forces were determined for all the implemented conditions.
