Coordination chemistry of the transition metals, as the iron group (IG), and rare earths, V, W or Mo in aqueous media containing various carboxylate complexes play a crucial role in the electrodeposition of these alloys. Experimental results of the electrodeposition of IG-X(RE, V, W and Mo) alloys from aqueous solutions are discussed in light of recent results identifying the existence and structures of IG-X-carboxylate-complexes for biological and physiological applications. Mechanisms for alloy electrodeposition from hetero-dinuclear complexes in aqueous solutions are proposed.
