Recycle scrubber water chemistry can vary as a result of blast furnace process, burden composition, fuel injection and so on, influencing solubility, saturation levels, ionic constituents, dissolved gases and ultimately water quality. System design and operation including sludge and blow-down treatment methods are discussed.
