Five Porphyrins 5,10,15,20-Tetra(4-pyridyl)-21H,23H-porphine (P1), 5,10,15,20-Tetraphenyl-21H, 23H-porphine (P2), 5,10,15,20-Tetrakis(4-hydroxyphenyl)-21H,23H-porphine (P3), 4,5,10,15,20-Tetrakis (pentafluorophenyl)-21H,23H-porphinepalladium(II) (P4), 4,4',4",4"'-(Porphine-5,10,15,20-tetrayl)tetrakis(benzoic acid) (P5) were studied using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), potentiodynamic polarization, static high pressure high temperature (HPHT), contact angle measurement, scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM), and atomic force microscopy (AFM) in 3.5% NaCl solution saturated with CO_2 for corrosion of N80 and J55 steel. The inhibition efficiency was found to increase with increase in the concentration of inhibitor. The adsorbed film on N80 and J55 steel surface containing inhibitor was confirmed by the SECM, AFM, and contact angle results. All the results obtained were in good agreement with each other.
