Contributions of hydraulics for controlled distribution of fertilizer - additional profit from hydraulic actuation by small extra expenditure

The amount of material distributed by a fertilizer spreader can be measured on line by sensing state variables of the hydraulic drives of the power hitch and the drives of the spreading disc. Very cost saving solutions are possible by multiple use of the machine drive equipment. An indirect strategy for calculating the amount of distributed material vs. drive distance and width can be established by cyclic measurement of the pressure and other variables of the power hitch. Measuring the pressure difference of the disc drives allows feed back control of the mass flow directly. Each of both strategies are very advantageous for an effective and precise manure which is a important part of the precision farming process. Its preciseness can be improved by combining both strategies by cyclic adjustments of the direct control.
