摘要

A continuous circular scanning sensor system with a infrared light spot and image device is described in this paper. Using the cyclically appearance of two image signal of the groove profile, not only the deviations in transverse and height, but also the change of the groove geometry and of the seam curvature can be detected simultaneously in real time This system with an integrated monolithic computer is convenient for automatic seam tracking and has an essential intelligent function to recognize various objects in welding process. The scanning method, which is characterized through its signal conversion and transformation, is suitable for utilization of different optical sensing device and contributive to miniaturize the scanning mechanism. It is especially possible to use simple optical sensing devices instead of a camera to realize a good performance of an intelligent optical sensor system economically.
