Strain and temperature monitoring was performed moulding and loading of CFRP laminates using embedded fibre optic sensor. Based on the difference of coefficient of thermal expansions of two sensors. From the calibration after embedding, pure strain was also measurable simultaneously with temperature. It was demonstrated that strain and temperature were successfully monitored by means of the proposed calibrated fibre optic sensor during moulding, after curing and loading of CFRP laminates.
