An application of the injection molding process of Novolak type phenol composite material to RTM molding

Since present phenol composite materials include many cavities and water particles, their mechanical strengths are unstable as engineering materials. In order to develop phenol composite materials having sufficient mechanical strength, this paper shows a development of molding technique combined injection molding with RTM and experimental results of injection molding. In the experiment, two kinds of pellets are used and the pressure, the speed and the time in injection molding are changed for getting good results.
