Soil nailing has proved a versatile and effective means of soil stabilization in deep excavation. In order to study the nails' strains and their spatial behavior in vertical soil nailing wall, more than nine profiles of nails' strains tests in-situ were performed. Data from tests disclose some useful results concerning the comprehensive rules of nails' strains, strains of different layers in the same profile, the space behavior of nails' strains in the same layer, the relationship between nails' strains and the displacement of vertical wall. The authors also presented some useful proposal on reinforcing design on deep vertical soil nailing wall.
