A Method of Calculating Earth Pressure-Slices Method

摘要

In this paper, a method of calculating earth pressure-slices method is introduced. It is developed to calculate earth pressure by referring to concept of slices method in slope stability analysis theory. Slices method can solve problems of calculating earth pressure about such as slope, slip plane with irregular shape, slip plane with inclined soft stratum, slip plane with limited scope and so on. Moreover, by comparison with Rankine's earth pressure under conditions of vertical slope with uniform or multi-layer soil separately, it can be concluded that the distribution diagram of slice earth pressure and that of Rankine's earth pressure are almost identical and the correctness of slices method is verified.
