摘要

The electroreductive coupling of acrylonitrile (AN) leading the adiponitrile (ADN) production,so-called Monsant Process,has been commercialized in a tremendously large scale since the 1960's.Desired ADN is formed along with propionitrile (PN) as a non-coupling by-product.On the other hand,the reduction of AN neat and AN + methyl acrylate (MA) mixture gives methyl 4-cyanovalerate (MCV) as the corresponding cross-coupling product along with ADN and dimethyl adipate (DMA) as the homo-coupling product's in addition to PN and methyl propionate (MP).
