Binary PtRu/C electrocatalysts have been established as one of the most promising anodes for use in direct-methanol fuel cells.However,despite the great amount of effort devoted,structure-property relations still remain unclear.The use of Cl-free compounds or colloidal PtRu alloy have been reported to yield highly effective catalysts.
