Several investigators have shown that grinding plays a significant role in the subsequent flotation stages.In addition to physical factors such as particle size and liberation,grinding media influence the electrochemistry of the flotation pulp.In this work the effects of autogenous,stainless steel,and mild steel grinding media were investigated on the flotation a porphyry copper ore,a lead-zinc complex ore and a nickel sulphide ore on both laboratory and pilot plant scales.
