摘要

The purpose of this paper is to communicate how the results of a Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) study are being used to develop a safer offshore platform design, by examining the variation in the frequency and consequence of hazardous events for several design options. The analysis examines whether the provision of a fire and blast rated wall between the wellbay and the process area of the platform represents a level of risk that is As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP). A study is also performed on the impact of a deluge system on the mitigation of the explosion hazard.
