PREPARATION OF LANTHANUM OXOCUPRATE IN ALKALI METAL NITRATE MELTS

In order to obtain the best experimental conditions for La_2CuO_4 preparation, this paper studies the reactions in the following systems: LaX_3 -CuX_2 -E; La_2O_3 -CuX_2 -E and [CuLa_2(AO)_2(OH)_4(H_2O)_6]Cl_2 -E (where X = Cl~-, NO_3~-; E = an equimolar (Na,K)NO_3 me AO = monodeprotonated triethanolamine). The formation temperature of La_2CuO_4 has been established by thermal analysis. IR spectra, XRD patterns data and magnetic properties of obtained lanthanum oxocuprate have been also determined.
