摘要

This paper presents the process to make the guideline for large bus crash test and verify its suitability. According to the bus accident analysis in Japan, frontal impact of bus shows the highest rate among damaged areas. The test conditions wereproposed that bus run into fixed barrier at a speed of 35 km/h refer to bus accidents. Bus crash tests were conducted with the guideline and it helped find out problems for large bus now in use. The guideline are also applicable to bus occupantsprotection evaluation.
