Ca{sup}(2+) ion plays important roles in various cellular functions. To understand the role of Ca{sup}(2+) the intracellar calcium store, this paper formulates a mathematical model for the bursting activity of a neuron, mid it considers both dynamics of the Ca{sup}(2+) store and the voltage-independent calcium channel (VICC). This VICC is activated by a depletion of Ca2+ concentration in the Ca{sup}(2+) store. Furthermore in this model, two kinds of Ca{sup}(2+) channel receptors: the ryanodine receptor and the inositol 1,4,5-tri sphosphate receptor, are considered for the Ca{sup}(2+) store. By considering the different dependencies on the intracellular Ca{sup}(2+) concentration for these two different receptors, this paper clarifies that the neuron shows the separated bursting activities for the values of Ca{sup}(2+) concentration.
