Study on recycling technology of lumber from end of life vehicles

This report introduces recycling technology which can be used for wood removed from the rear body of End of Life Commercial Vehicles. These recycling methods are modifications of existing methods and were applied to wood that had been used for approximately ten years. One method laminates the wood using resorcinol to yield a wood material with enough strength to again be used in portions of the rear body. Another method used, first pulverizes the collected boards, mixes it with polypropylene resin under high pressure, and reforms the boards. Prototypes produced were then used as rear body gate boards.
