Development of Low Cost Manufacturing Technology for CFRP Parts (Second Report)

The production method of the complex shape section pipe by the rubber molding method, the clay molding method, and the Bulge molding method was developed as a low-cost production method of CFRP. The clay molding method had the possibility of the cost reduction of 60%-70% compared with the Hundley-up method. The rubber molding method became possible 50-90% reduction compared with the injection molding method. Moreover, about twice strength were obtained from CFRP produced with the clay molding. Making the comer pipe became possible by the Bulge molding method that used the rubber tube. The cost reduction in about 50% became possible compared with the wire winding device. The production of the pipe in the bottle gourd type section became possible, too.
