Press forming analysis of aluminum auto body panel: wrinkle behavior in 5000 and 6000 series aluminum alloy sheet forming

摘要

5000 and 6000 series aluminum alloys used for auto body panel are press worked to door panels, compared with mild and high-tensile steels. Wrinkles behaviors in sheet forming are analyzed,those of aluminum alloy sheets can be formed more thansteel sheet. And 6000 series aluminum alloys is more than 5000 series. The reasons of those wrinkle formations are considered by mechanical and bead friction properties and the press conditions for controlling wrinkles are proposed.
