Numerical analysis on the bodymaking of steel DI can

摘要

A continuous DI canmaking process from deep drawing, redrawing and 4 wall ironing stages was simulated by the finite element method. The analysis included a series of transient, nonlinear, coupled thermal and mechanical contact problems. From this study, temperature rise, required forming loads and stress/strain distributions during the body-making processes were satisfactorily predicted.
