摘要

This report describes a geographic information system for development support of urban planning by evaluating a residential environment in urban areas and visualizing its evaluation results. The evaluation of a residential environment is carried out using the comfort degree, which is a measuring unit of inhabitant's comfortableness for urban facilities such as hospital, park and school based on a distance between the residence and each facility. The constructed system provides useful color maps indicating the evaluation results and helps a planner decide an urban development.
