A small flare angle conical corrugated horn structure is presented which offers a cross-polarization level below -26.5dB and a gain of 24.2dB over isotropic for the operating frequency of 20GHz. The horn maintains a low cross-polarization level for entire K-band frequency range. The horn also has a aperture efficiency of 93.64%. Computer aided simulation is used to analyze radiation patterns. From simulation results, the horns gain, reflection co-efficient and the return-loss is also calculated. A frequency sweep is also performed to check the horns performance for the K-band frequency range. A brief theoretical analysis of the cross-polarization level based on hybrid modes approach is provided. Potential use of horn for low aperture reflector feed is also discussed.
