This paper reports the possibility of the fiber amplifier at 1.3 and 1.55μm dual wavelength using the Pr{sup}(3+) and Er{sup}(3+) co-doped sulfide glasses. In fact, the energy transfer phenomenon in the Er{sup}(3+) and Pr{sup}(3+) co-dopingsystem has been previously researched in order to achieve the cw-laser at 2.7μm [4]. Then, it is also investigated for the additive enhancement of the 1.3μm amplifying efficiency due to the energy transfer between Er{sup}(3+) and Pr{sup}(3+).
