The Pasteurizer tolerates freezing and overheating without damage. It could be modified to use wood or fossil fuels inbad weather. and also to provide hot water for washing as well as cool Pasteurized water for drinking. An important use might be to Pasteurize filtered gray water or septic tank effluents so that they could hygienically be recycled for watering thegreenhouse or vegetable garden. Thus households with both a Pasteurizing composting toilet and a gray water Pasteurizer would not need any sewer connection.
