The Development of An Aluminum Alloy for Selective Laser Sintering Applications

Selective laser sintering shows a great deal of promise for being one of the dominant methods for rapid prototyping of components and tooling. This paper will describe the metallurgical and technical aspects that were addressed in the development of an aluminum alloy for use in selective laser sintering.
