摘要

Seven crystallographic phases H_xLi_(1-x)NbO_3 generated in proton exchanged LiNbO_3 optical waveguides have been identified and characterized. Correlation between the crystal structure, refractive indices, hydrogen concentration and ferroelectric properties has been experimentally determined. This work allowed identifying and characterization different crystallographic phases of the proton exchanged (PE) LiNbO_3 waveguides, considering that there is a phase jump when gradually varying the hydrogen concentration in the exchanged layer, causes a sudden variation of the cell parameters and chemical bonds, even if the crystallographic system is conserved.
