Water Management Decision Support Software for Canal Systems

A water management decision support software for canal systems (WATMAN) has been developed by the Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) for use by Irrigation system operators. WATMAN is a suite of software that runs on personal computer whose purpose is to provide a user friendly data entry and database system and complimentary software to assist irrigation districts in operation of canal systems. WATMAN is data centered and consists of a database, a hydrologic model of the canal system, and support software for both. The principal components are accounting, reporting, scheduling, and decision support.
