摘要

This paper describes reaction diffusion between thermal sprayed aluminium and several kinds of substrates by post heat treatment. The alloy layer formed by this "Spray Diffusion Process" strongly depends on the composition of substrate. We found that the appropriate properties of the surface can be achieved by selecting chemical compositions of the substrates and/or by selecting appropriate interlayers between substrate and aluminium top coating. First of all, formation of alloy phases between aluminium spray coating and pure iron or plain carbon steel substrate by the process was examined to get fundamental information. Then, for further application, a 18% Cr - 8 % Ni austenitic stainless steel substrate was selected. Finally, interdiffusion of multiple layered coatings with Ni-Cr-Mo alloys and aluminium onto stainless steel substrate was investigated.
