Analysis of water for trace constituents is a mandatory part of environmental monitoring. This text gives a survey of the contribution of radioanalysis. A general overview, including sampling and preconcentration, which puts radioanalysis in an analytical perspective, is given in the report "Analysis of water for inorganic trace constituents", which is available upon request.
