Research on the New Types of Combustion Chambers of the Small D.I. Diesel Engine

摘要

The effects of the construction and shape of combustion chamber of the small D.I. diesel engine onthe movement of the air flow in cylinder are anlayzed in this paper. Three new types of combustion chambers of the small D.I. diesel engine, such as the four angle type, petal type and the four angle and petal tpe etc. have been designed and the four different fluid states on the combustion chamber wall of the TY290 DI.I diesel engine are tested by using the oil film method, a simple fluid visualization technique. Finally, it has been confirm,ed through the engine performance tess that the four angle type combustion chamber has a good effect on improving the combustion characteristics and reducing the fuel consumption and the exhaust smoke density of the smlal bore D.I diesel engine.
