The author described themuffle principle, the structure characteristic and the optimum design method of the exhaust heat exchange muffler, and also established the calculating model of inserting loss about it in this paper. As disclosed int he experiment, the device has less exhaust resistance and better nosie elimination effect than the original one. And the estimating values of inserting loss is basically in concordance with practical measure values.
