This survey of the myriad uses of metal powders in non-pressed and non-traditional applications will surprise many. Few know, for instance, that the iron supplement used in cereals is added directly as an iron powder, and can be pulled out with a magnet. The full range of common powders are covered in the paper. Applications as diverse as automotive, the food and chemical industry, the arts, environmental remediation, recreation, aviation and many others are presented. The goal of the paper is to dramatize the unusual and creative ways that metal powders are currently used with the hope of stimulating other imaginative applications
