Acrylic binders have been used in the ceramics industry for many years and have exhibited excellent green strength and clean burnout. With the recent development of acrylic based feedstocks these same benefits are becoming available to MIM. The tensile properties of parts produced using this new binder are reviewed. Thermal and aqueous debind were examined to determine if debinding method effects dimensions and tensile properties.
