PURPOSE: To produce a sintered body excellent in corrosion resistance and by which allergic symptoms do not occur in human bodies by using ferritic stainless steel powder with a specified compsn. contg. no Ni as the raw material powder for the injection molded powder-metallurgical sintered body of stainless steel. ;CONSTITUTION: The powder of ferritic stainless steel having a compsn. contg., by weight, 20 to 30% Cr, 0.5 to 6% Mo, 0.03% C, 1% oxygen, and the balance Fe is kneaded with a wax binder, which is subjected to granulation and injection molding. Thereafter, it is heated, is debindered, is successively sintered in a vacuum or in the atmosphere of a reducing gas such as hydrogen or an inert gas such as Ar to produce an injection molded powder-metallurgical sintered body having ≥98% sintering density. Since the ferritic stainless steel powder contg. no Ni is used as the raw material, allergic symptomps do not occur in the human bodies touching the same, and moreover, since it is a sintered body of the Cr-Mo ferritic stainless steel high in sintering density, its corrosion resistance is excellent as well.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
